Blog Journal #6
1) My initial experience using Diijo hasn’t been the best thus far. I really enjoy this class because it is introducing me to so many different social platforms and websites which will be so helpful as a teacher ! However, Diijo is extremely confusing for me this far and i’m not sure if it’s the format or how much information and comments i’m seeing at once. I really like that there is the comments feature because it gives a real and honest opinion of what’s being said and it allows me to have a voice .
2) My experience blogging this far has been amazing ! I have not shared it with the class yet but I am actually a youtuber so starring my life with others is exciting to me. I like that we can create this pose and share our different experiences because i realize some things i struggle with or like is the same for some of my peers. The one thing i have learned this far in the blogging process is that I never sit and think about how things make me feel or my initial experience with anything. When i read the prompt, it gives me a chance to actually think about how certain sites and platforms are for me and how well i enjoyed certain experiences.
3) A interesting web 2.0 tool that I might use when teaching is Facebook. Although Facebook is outdated for my age group when it comes to social interaction and talking to my friends, it’s a great website to stay up to date with all of the decisions happening in Leon County. Not only does it inform me or major news, Facebook also has several educators pages and even some school pages with many photos showing classrooms, student interaction and other helpful tips. I would rate this web 2.0 a 4/5 because it still doesn’t have a lot of the updated features that instagram has.
