1) The ELA standard that I chose to write about is the standard for the kindergarten age group/level. This ELA standard states that the help and advising of adults to children will help them explore new technological resources, learn how these tools work and create new works. The digital tools that will be used are story tellers, smartboard and painting programs to help students get familiar with these resources. I think I am ready to implement this standard into my classroom because my job gives me the opportunity to see the platforms that kindergartners use like storybook and a smartboard. Luckily, the technology that kindergarteners use, according to this standard, are sort of easy and self explanatory so I think I could explain and guide my future students on how to work on these digital tools already.
2) The resource that I found is called magical library and it focused on the various types of books. The types of books were narrowed down to informational and storybook for students to see a book and decide which group it belongs to. The practice instructed students to drag the book to a purple or green box that was titled with informational or story time and see if they were correct. I would implement this type of practice into my classroom in my class library/reading center so students would know what shelf to place each type of book on after they finish reading. I think this is a good resource for my class because kindergartners don't know that different types of books exist and it's important that they began to learn the concept at a young age, even if it isn't fictional and nonfictional yet.
3)It is extremely proficient to be a good internet searcher as a teacher because there will be certain scenarios where a quick and efficient search of the concept or lesson may help you better teach and conduct an activity. It is also important to be efficient so that you don't present material to students that is false or not helpful to your students. Of the internet searching skills discussed in class, I think I will use the asterisk to omit missing words when I search certain things on google because I frequently type unfinished thoughts because I don't completely know what I am searching. With this option, I am able to notify google that I know words are missing so they can search and find the correct searches with the knowledge in mind that words are missing.
